Linen grown within the region in the 18th century was used as a material in local weavings. It is known that there are many tradesmen who are interested in weaving within the region. It is also known that weaving was done in almost every house until the 1960s in the Tamzara quarter of the Sebinkarahisar district of Giresun province. This weaving, which is rarely exercised today, is trying to be revived by the public education centre of the district. Tamzara Cloth is a local weave made of cotton and linen material, woven with plain weave weft derivatives. Weaves are woven with different coloured threads in patterns called striped, checkered/boxed/plaid in Anatolia. Handkerchief, cloth, loincloth, napkin, bed sheet, cover, table cloth, apron, and veil are made from Tamzara Cloth.
